Actor James Cromwell recently spent a week in jail as a result of his 2015 arrest while protesting a proposed power plant in Orange County, N.Y. The Competitive Power Ventures fracked-gas plant would include two 275-foot smoke stacks, a compressor station, a near million gallon diesel tank, a 15,000 gallon ammonia tank and a connection to the Millennium Pipeline in Minisink. He joins us to talk about his activism, the plant and his time in jail along with Pramilla Malick, director of Protect Orange County, and climate scientist Anthony Ingraffea, who testified at Cromwell’s trial. Ingraffea has researched how fracked gas is as bad or worse for the climate as oil and coal, mostly because of methane leakage.

Note: Public comment on the last permit for the plant closes Aug. 4.
