Jennifer Egan Returns With 'Manhattan Beach'

Pulitzer-prize winning novelist Jennifer Egan joins us to discuss her new novel, Manhattan Beach. Set in World War II-era New York, Egan tells the story of Anna Kerrigan, who is helping with the war effort at home by working at the Brooklyn Naval Yard. After her father goes missing, Kerrigan meets a mysterious figure from her past who holds clues about his disappearance.
Jennifer Egan will appear at Barnes & Noble Union Square (33 E. 17th St.) on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.
She will also appear at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92 (63 Flushing Ave., Brooklyn) on Oct 5 at 6:30 p.m. RSVPs are required to attend as space is limited. The event is hosted by Greenlight Bookstore.
