Junot Díaz on the Best American Short Stories

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Junot Díaz talks about the new edition of The Best American Short Stories 2016. The collection includes a story about a Nigerian boy’s friendship with his family’s former houseboy, and a sweatshop girl’s experience as a sister wife. All of the selections, Diaz writes, have the power to “break hearts, bones, vanities and cages.”
Event: Junot Diaz will introduce "Selected Shorts: The Best American Short Stories 2016" at Symphony Space (2537 Broadway, b/w W. 94th and 95th St.) on Tuesday, Oct. 4th at 7:30 p.m.
