The city that never sleeps is under curfew for the first time since World War II. But that hasn't stopped protesters from taking to the streets for the sixth consecutive day to demand change following the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Mayor de Blasio and NYPD leadership have come under intense criticism—including from Gov. Andrew Cuomo—for the chaos that's erupted overnight against the backdrop of protests that have seen repeated violent clashes between demonstrators and police.

WNYC's Gwynne Hogan and Gothamist's Sydney Pereira were in the field in Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan. They spoke with All Things Considered host Jami Floyd about the night's protests.
