Bloomberg's Belated "Stop and Frisk" Apology

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, left, speaks while Police Commissioner Ray Kelly looks on during a news conference in New York, Monday, Aug. 12, 2013.

Shortly after dipping his toe in the presidential race, Michael Bloomberg apologized for the NYPD's controversial use of "stop and frisk," saying his signature policing policy was "wrong."

Christina Greer, co-host of the New York politics podcast FAQ NYC, and Brigid Bergin, City Hall and politics reporter for WNYC, discuss the apology, which critics are saying amounts to pandering.

Plus Stephen Benjamin, Mayor of Columbia, South Carolina, defends Bloomberg, saying the apology "showed strength."
