Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start of the summer season and ignites the pressure we sometimes feel to rush out there to take advantage of everything the region has to offer during the warmer months. But WNYC is here to help.

Our news site Gothamist is out with an extensive list of fun and affordable summer activities in the region. And this week, we asked the WNYC newsroom to help us come up with a summer bucket list. Weekend Edition host David Furst kicks off the three-day weekend with some of their picks.
