Michael Chabon Picks Three

The novelist Michael Chabon, who lives in Berkeley, was recently in New York to promote his new book, “Moonglow.” He dropped in on David Remnick to talk about three things that are giving him consolation in a moment of deep anxiety: “The Crown,” Netflix’s drama about the life of Queen Elizabeth II, which Chabon loves for its “low stakes”; Kevin Barry’s “Beatlebone,” a novel about a difficult moment for John Lennon; and a recipe for fried chicken that’s simply unbeatable, because the meat is as good as the crust.
