New Congressman Mondaire Jones on the Election, Senate Control and his First Term

Lawmakers in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives were sworn in this week. They're taking office in an unprecedented time, amidst a global pandemic and a Republican challenge to Joe Biden's Electoral College victory.

Mondaire Jones is a freshman Democrat representing New York's 17th Congressional District, in Rockland County and northern Westchester. He spoke with WNYC's David Furst about what's happening on Capitol Hill, and his plans for his first term.
