There are still a lot of questions about what needs to happen to overhaul how we run elections in New York, and State Senator Zellnor Myrie is hoping to find answers in a series of hearings kicking off Wednesday morning at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn.
Myrie, who is also the chair of the Senate Elections Committee, says he wants to know the biggest issues on the minds of voters so he can look for legislative solutions with his colleagues. He spoke with WNYC Morning Edition host Michael Hill.
