Murphy Administration Investigating President's NJ Fundraiser

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said the state is investigating the high-dollar fundraiser President Donald Trump held at his Bedminster golf club last week. Murphy said the state Attorney General's office will determine whether the event violated any of the executive orders he's issued related to the COVID-19 pandemic, including serving food from a buffet, which is currently banned in the state, and exceeding indoor capacity limits.

Contact tracers are also working to track down more than 200 people who attended the event. But Murphy said tracers need more information from the federal government to track down people who came in from out-of-state.

"We've got emails for 184 of the 206 attendees...and we need more than emails," Murphy told WNYC. "We need to know how to track these people down [and] where they actually...live."

Murphy is also urging all attendees to self-quarantine for fourteen days and get tested for COVID-19.

"The clock is ticking," he said.
