Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Quiara Alegría Hudes discusses her new musical, Miss You Like Hell, along with actors Daphne Rubin-Vega and Gizel Jimenez. Beatriz (Rubin-Vega) is the flawed mother of 16 year-old Olivia (Jimenez), and an undocumented immigrant on the verge of deportation. After living estranged from each other for years, the two embark on a road trip that crosses state lines and brings them closer together. Miss You Like Hell features music from the folk-rock singer-songwriter Erin McKeown.
Miss You Like Hell is playing through May 6 at The Public Theater.
This segment is guest hosted by Cindy Rodriguez.
