National Youth Administration: "NYA on the Air".

Months before the start of World War II in Europe, Mayor Fiorello La Guardia delivers the inaugural broadcast for the National Youth Administration radio series. The Mayor describes some of the services offered by the N.Y.A., mostly related to employment and training.

The Mayor is introduced by Helen M. Harris, of National Youth Administration.

Anthony (Tony) Marvin is WNYC's announcer.
