New York City is Reducing Free Adult Grab-and-Go Meal Locations

Starting on September 21st, just 200 schools will continue participating in the city's free grab-and-go meal program. That's down from 435 locations currently.

The city began offering free meals to the general public in April, as the local economy shut down. Now, with students returning to the classroom in two weeks, the city is citing safety concerns over having adults pick up meals in school building.
