Lots of immigrants move to New York to start a family, and in time, some parents may face a challenge: how do we instill our values in our little first-generation New Yorker?

Also here to weigh in on cross-generational values: Suketu Mehta, associate professor of journalism at New York University and the author of Maximum City: Bombay Lost and Found (Published by Vintage, 2005). Mehta came to the U.S. as a child and is now raising children here.
