
A new report on health risks associated with gas stoves has sparked a conversation about their use in the United States.
The study from researchers and the energy organization RMI found about 13% of childhood asthma cases across the country are tied to emissions from gas stoves. But even though New York City officials in 2021 agreed to phase out gas in new construction, millions of people in the city are still exposed to gas ranges daily.
