
The Hawthorne Avenue Farm in Newark, New Jersey, sits on the outer edge of one of the state's worst food deserts. Access to fresh and nutritious produce is scarce, but members of the community and agriculturalists with the Greater Newark Conservancy are dedicated to fixing that by empowering residents to tend the land.
