When the COVID pandemic first hit the U.S., Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey, was one of the area hospitals frequently cited as an 'epicenter' of the virus. Exhausted medical workers endured difficult conditions and long hours as ICU admissions strained capacity.

Now, with the omicron variant surging, Holy Name is seeing another wave of admissions. Executive Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Michele Acito spoke with WNYC's Morning Edition host Michael Hill.
