#NoBreakNoBill: Democrats Still Sitting-In for Gun Legislation

U.S. Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) (2nd L) walks down the steps of the Capitol after House Republicans have forced votes as House Democrats stages a sit-in on the House floor June 22, 2016 on Capitol Hill.

House Democrats are staging a sit-in on the House floor to demand Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) not to recess the House without voting on gun legislation, including the 'No Fly, No Buy' legislation and a universal background check bill.

Representative Joe Courtney, who's been participating in the sit-in, called to give an update. He says that he was involved in shaping some of the gun legislation in Connecticut after the Newtown shooting, and compared to those laws the two bills on the Senate floor were "very mild, mainstream measures."
