Seated at his desk in City Hall, Fiorello H. La Guardia makes his final radio talk to the people of New York as mayor Dec. 30, 1945.

Mayor La Guardia explains the voting system to listeners. He gives detail instructions regarding the use of the voting machines and information about those running for office. He announces the presidential nominees, followed by the candidates for associate judge for court of appeal.

La Guardia explains who is able to vote and the how soldiers can vote. He also takes this opportunity to contrast the United States from countries where people do not have the right to vote.
