NY state lawmakers push bill to rename "Governor Mario Cuomo Bridge"

It's increasingly rare to find areas of bipartisan agreement in Albany these days. But there's at least one thing some Republicans and Democrats can agree on: restoring the "Tappan Zee" name to the Hudson River crossing that's officially called the "Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge."

A Democratic state senator from the Hudson Valley is now the lead sponsor of a bill to rename the bridge and he says he wants to get it done before the end of the current legislative session in June. WNYC Albany reporter Jon Campbell spoke about the bill and how much momentum there is in seeing the bill through.
