Brooklyn Borough President and mayoral front-runner Eric Adams gave reporters and TV cameras an unexpected glimpse into his private life this week, when he offered up a personal tour of his Bedford-Stuyvesant home.
But it wasn't a typical open house. The event came in response to a story reported by Politico that found conflicting public records on properties that Adams owns, and raised questions about where Adams lived, and whether he was using public space like his office in Borough Hall for private use.
WNYC’s Elizabeth Kim spoke with All Thing Considered host Sean Carlson about the tour, and whether the kerfuffle over Adams's residency could move the needle on the upcoming Democratic primary.
