NYC's Asian American Classical Community Meets Hate with Music

Donna Weng Friedman is Chinese-American and an award-wining pianist, composer and music producer, based out of Manhattan. She has hosted a video mini-series on WQXR on women composers.

Her recent EP is called Heritage and Harmony: Silver Linings, and features music by several Asian-American composers. 

John Schaefer is the host of WNYC’s New Sounds and an expert on everything music and New York. They both spoke with WNYC's Morning Edition host Michael Hill.
