Protests against discriminatory policing and police violence have entered their third week as demonstrators around the country once again took the streets. In New York, protesters were out in full force in Manhattan and Brooklyn. And for the second time in 10 days demonstrators marched in Newark, New Jersey. While in New York, reporters have documented police violence against protesters; in New Jersey's two largest cities, the mayors have marched with the public. WNYC’s Karen Yi spoke to Morning Edition host Kerry Nolan about the differences between New York and New Jersey's protests.
