Hal Prince is a Broadway legend whose career spans 70 years. He has won 21 Tony Awards as a producer and director for productions that include: “Cabaret,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Sweeney Todd,” “Evita” and “The Phantom of the Opera.” We were lucky enough to speak with him earlier this week. And for our Bonus Weekend Podcast, we decided to look at some of the other people who worked on those great Broadway productions. Patti Lupone, who played Evita on Broadway, came on in 2008 to talk about another show she was starring in a revival of “Gypsy.” Alan Cumming, who starred in the Broadway revival of Cabaret, was here for his memoir Not My Father’s Son. And we’re also re-airing our interview with Stephen Sondheim, whose career has spanned more than half a century in the theater.
