As more migrant arrivals find their way to New York City, an increasing number of people — mostly women — are heading underground to sell candy and snacks on subway platforms and trains. Their children are often by their side, and sometimes doing the selling themselves.

Nathaly Rubio-Torio is the director of Voces Latinas, a Queens-based nonprofit that supports migrants from Latin America. They joined WNYC host Tiffany Hanssen to talk about the subway candy sellers and how the city can better help them.
