Over the weekend, President Trump announced that the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, Geoffrey Berman, was resigning. The announcement was a surprise to Berman, who said he learned of it in press release. He initially refused to step down -- but then agreed after Attorney General William Barr announced that President Trump had fired him.
Berman had been running investigations into Trump associates, including Rudy Giuliani. Listen to her conversation with WNYC's Kerry Nolan.
