The Loudest Voice on the Stage at Last Night's GOP Debate

Gabriel Sherman, national affairs editor at New York Magazine and the author of The Loudest Voice in the Room: How the Brilliant, Bombastic Roger Ailes Built Fox News--and Divided a Country (Random House, 2014), recaps Thursday night's debate and the growing rift in the Republican Party over the more-and-more likely nomination of Donald Trump as their candidate.
Brian noted that one of the best journalistic moments of the night was when FOX News' Megyn Kelly confronted Donald Trump about Trump University, reading aloud from court documents rather than citing political disagreements.
. @BrianLehrer @megynkelly cited the court on @realDonaldTrump because that's actual journalism, at long last & maybe too late.

Sherman explained the "many different agendas at play in the 'Stop Trump' movement," noting that anything could still change up until the convention in July. He described as a fluid situation, and a historic one: "We're seeing the slow-motion crack-up of one of America's two political parties."
@BrianLehrer @gabrielsherman I had to look away when @tedcruz said instead of the IRS we could all mail in postcards. #Postcards ?
