Robert C. Weinberg on Daniel P. Moynihan.

Daniel P. Moynihan, President Nixon's advisor on urban affairs, shown speaking Aug. 25, 1969, feels the president's jobs and welfare strategy could rid the nation of unemployment.

Robert C. Weinberg reports:

"Architecture in a Time of Trouble", a speech by Daniel Patrick Moynihan to alumni of Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Moynihan heads MIT-Harvard Institute for Advanced Studies. He said in his speech: "urban design affects the atmosphere of the slums".

Weinberg concurs with Moynihan's objection to remove zoning, which prohibits factories in parts of Harlem. He also agrees that the Morningside Heights Park should not be bulldozed to make a gymnasium for Columbia University.
