Second 'Presumptive' Coronavirus Case Confirmed In New Jersey

Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich says the first person who tested positive for the coronavirus has an apartment in the borough but actually lives and works in New York.

Sokolich says the 30-something year old man is a health care worker and did not take public transportation when he returned to Fort Lee alone on Monday night.

"While in Fort Lee, this individual had no known contact with any other individuals," he said Thursday.

The patient is in stable condition at a hospital in Hackensack. The second person to test positive has been released from a hospital in Englewood and is currently self-quarantined.

The state is waiting for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to confirm the results in both cases.
