"Stomp" takes a final bow in Manhattan

For almost 29 years, the marquee at the Orpheum Theater in Manhattan has looked almost exactly the same but that will soon change. The off-Broadway show “Stomp” — known for its avant garde noisemaking and physically intensive performances — is closing after almost 29 years of performance in New York.

WNYC's Michael Hill spoke with the show’s co-creator, Luke Cresswell, and longtime performer Carlos Thomas about the legacy of "Stomp" and commemorate the end of an era.
