One of the most infamous political scandals in New Jersey’s history has come to a close. The Supreme Court unanimously threw out the convictions of two one-time aides to former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for the traffic scheme that came to be known as Bridgegate. The decision brings an end to a scandal that drew national media attention, derailed Christie's political career and saw the convictions of two former public officials. It also could change the law around political corruption.
