Teachers Say They Need A Reopening Plan Specific To Special Education

Teachers of special education in New York City are seeking more guidance on how to reopen the public schools in a way that works for their students. They want in-person school — for the routine and support it offers students but they say kids with significant disabilities or medical issues need a reopening plan tailor-made for their needs. As WNYC’s Yasmeen Khan reports, they haven’t seen that yet.
