This episode of The Constant Invader, narrated by Vincent Price, follows the story of "Dad" Parsons, an elderly man with tuberculosis, who has just arrived at the hospital. Mr. Parsons recounts to his roommate, Dick, that he was diagnosed with TB 28 years ago but moved to Arizona when he became frustrated with slow recovery and poor treatment methods. Falling ill, he came to visit his sister once more before he died.

Doctor Warren tries to convince Parsons that TB treatments have advanced, including an operation to cut out diseased sections of the lungs. Parsons is unconvinced but promises that if the doctors can keep him alive long enough, he'll go through with the operation.

Meanwhile, Dick is getting frustrated with recovery and does not want to get the operation. He contemplates moving to Arizona, like Parsons, but the doctor eventually persuades both of them to get the operation so that they can safely return to society.
