Danforth Distinguished Professor in the Humanities at Washington University in St. Louis, discusses her book Moral Combat: How Sex Divided American Christians and Fractured American Politics. Award-winning novelist Kathleen Hill talks about her memoir, She Read to Us in The Late Afternoons: A Life in Novels, in which she explores defining moments of a life illuminated by novels. Joan Silber joins us to discuss her new book Improvement about a young single mother living in New York. Sarah Posner, a reporter with the Investigative Fund at the Nation Institute, talks about her special investigation, "The Christian Legal Army Behind ‘Masterpiece Cakeshop,’”  for an upcoming special issue of The Nation magazine.
