
Eric Adams is still the mayor of New York City and it seems that he will be for at least the near future. The mayor has since last year faced charges of corruption, bribery, wire fraud and soliciting and accepting campaign donations from foreign nationals. The Department of Justice under President Trump has sought to drop the charges, and a judge is considering whether such a move is legal. Governor Hochul said she won't remove Adams from office. The court proceedings are playing out as the mayor faces several challengers in a primary election that's just four months away.
