Tom Brokaw, former NBC Nightly News anchor, now NBC News special correspondent and author of A Lucky Life Interrupted: A Memoir of Hope (Random House, 2015), was diagnosed with cancer in 2013, which inspired him to keep journals on the experience. This memoir came out of those journals, and contains his meditations on life, death, family as well as highlights from his long career.
