Traffic Map: Finding Your Way Through This Weekend's Weather Mess

Traffic moves slowly through a snow storm along Interstate 95 December 26, 2010 in Westport, Connecticut.

Sleet, rain, and snow will fall into Saturday. Snow will start falling after midnight, warming to freezing rain in the morning.

Forecasters are saying precipitation will be steady through Saturday afternoon with up to 4 inches of sleet accumulating on the ground. The winter weather advisory ends at 6 p.m., but evening temperatures will drop into the 20s. That means driving will become more dangerous.

"If you're going to be out and about driving watch out for the black ice and slippery conditions, because any standing water will quickly refreeze in the overnight period Saturday night," said Ross Dickman from the National Weather Service.

The sun is supposed to return on Sunday. Temperatures will hover around freezing during the day, and drop in the evening.
