It’s safe to say that we lost our most prolific movie actor of all time last week! Sir Christopher Lee had already been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most screen credits back in 2007. But then he appeared in 34 other films, making his total 278 by the time he died last week at the age of 93. His breakout role was as Count Dracula in the 1958 horror film, “Horror of Dracula,” and he would become an official horror film icon when cast as the lead in “The Mummy.” And he appeared in all of Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” series, as well as in two of “The Hobbit” films as the evil Saruman, with his flowing hair and beard. He spoke with Leonard back in 2002.
