Week Ahead: June 10, 2019

The MoMA will close for four months, starting in June

On this week's look ahead: rent regulations expire this Saturday. The question is not 'will they be extended,' but 'in what form?' As the legislative session winds down, we're watching to see if issues like drivers licenses for immigrants, legalized marijuana for adults, and ending the religious exemption for vaccines come up for a vote. Also: Governor Cuomo has yet to sign legislation clearing the way for New York State to hand over President Trump's tax returns. It's also not clear if he'll sign the ban on declawing cats. And: if you want to visit the Museum of Modern Art, get there before this weekend — it's about to close for four months' worth of renovations.
