This Week In Politics: How "Bridgegate Culture" Went National

President Donald Trump has picked Christopher Wray, a former Justice Department official and Gov. Chris Christie's personal lawyer during the Bridgegate affair, to be the next FBI director.

This week, President Trump nominated attorney Christopher Wray to be the next FBI Director.

Wray was Chris Christie's lawyer during the Bridgegate investigation and the governor publicly endorsed him for the job. So while those infamous lane closures at the George Washington Bridge may have led to the unraveling of Christie's political career, for Christopher Wray, they may have led directly to a nomination.
