New Jersey is preparing for a major transition from two-term Republican governor, Chris Christie to incoming Democrat, Phil Murphy. This week, Murphy required all the people volunteering on his transition committees to sign non-disclosure agreements. Proponents of an open transparent process say it sounds like Chris Christie. And Chris Christie? He begs to differ. And that's just scratching the surface of the political intrigue blossoming in the Garden State.

Nancy Solomon, Managing Editor of New Jersey Public Radio, joins us on This Week in Politics for roundup that finds room for a Governor Tom Kean takedown of Scott Pruitt and explains a new legal issue involving Sean Spicer and a decades-old case of voter suppression in Jersey.

And - why not? - she comes armed with a unique gift-giving idea:

Last month, New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez walked out of court last after his mistrial and issued a threat destined to go down in state political history. Speaking with host David Furst, Nancy explains how those warm words have now been lovingly stitched on an iron-on patch by Jersey City artist, Amy Wilson.
