REBROADCAST: Curator, Ashley James, and museum director, Anne Pasternak, join us to discuss the exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum titled, “Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power.” The show highlights a wide range of black artistic practices from 1963 to 1983. Nationally, black artists worked in communities, in collectives, and individually to create work ranging from figurative and abstract painting, prints, and photography, to assemblage, sculpture, and performance.
