With performance venues closed during the pandemic, many musicians are struggling. Now our sister station, WQXR, is trying to help offset some of that disruption, with a project they call the "Artist Propulsion Lab." As part of the project, we're hearing some of the artists' music on Tuesday mornings on Morning Edition. Today, we're featuring several pieces by pianist Orion Weiss. He spoke with WNYC's Michael Hill about his musical career, the pandemic, and how piano went from an after school activity to a driving force in his life.
