I bike into the city a couple times a week at 6:15am all year and took this on a foggy, wet January morning heading back into Brooklyn from Manhattan. The weather made for a lonely bridge.

I saw this piece right outside of the Myrtle–Willoughby stop on the G. I'm glad I took a picture before it started to get defiled... it started with someone taking out the "do not" part of the sentence, later someone sharpied it back in.
It was interesting to watch how people participated to destroy it and restore it, somewhat like a dialogue.

Spendinga week inland in mexico, and entranced by the different colors of vegetation versus the east coast
saturated greens. Everything was more greyed and yellowed - till these flowers popped up!....
while trying to still this one flower from the wind, the moment before the shot was better than what I intended.

Deer are common in southern Westchester, and I was thrilled to have my iPhone with me when I looked out a window to see these deer lined up at the buffet on my front path

These are my mother-in-law's hands. She is 90 and lives in Neiva, Colombia. She was widowed with 8 children at the age of 42. She learned various weaving techniques and sold handicrafts to keep her family fed and clothed. She never remarried. All of her children finished college and are now professionals. This photo represents all she did by the use of her hands to raise 8 children in the face of adversity.

I took this on my way to a film set near Walden Pond up in MA. Just a really beautiful morning fog.

One of the early snowfalls this past year. While waiting for my daughter in her school yard, I made a flower footprint in the snow using my workbook while pivoting on my heel.

As a lover of maps and a resident of NJ, I found it hilarious that one of my pieces of chicken . . . looked like NJ.
