My daughter Allison, age 20, took this photo with my iPhone. It was the perfect August day and we had mixed up a batch of white sangria to drink in the backyard. Notice the sun as it reflects off the spoon. Allison has a great eye for taking a photo from a perfect angle that seems to capture the moment! Hope you like it!

Every morning I commute from the Upper West Side to my job on the Upper East Side on foot through Central Park. Every morning I take a photo of something on the way that catches my eye. This was the pond at west 104th St. just inside the park, doing a fine imitation of Claude Monet's garden at Giverny in the autumn.

The baby bat was hiding under the air conditioner. He was hurt and could not fly, but when I turned him over, he extended his wings and expired. Sad, but mysterious.

I took this photograph in weehawken, nj as this cruise ship was sailing downriver, to likely a tropical island destination. It seems to cover a good portion of the island of manhattan and dwarfing the Empire State Building, reinforcing the idea that cruise ships really are floating cities! Thanks, but I'll take Manhattan!

Washing line in my parents back garden in Liverpool, England. When I visit much conversation revolves around bringing the washing in before in rains as it rains often for short spells. Here though the sky is bright blue and the clothes are dry, happy days!
