In August of 2014 I adopted an 8 year old pug named Bella. She swiftly became the love of my life and I took to photographing her in front of the various graffiti in Red Hook, where I've lived for 8 years now.

I shake a lot, and have an old phone, and have absolutely zero talent or luck taking pics. But Prospect Park on Nov 10 someone yielded me this beaut. I didn't touch it (I wouldn't have the foggiest idea how to modify a picture.)

i think it's about joy which we need a whole lot more of.

Last day at the beach in Asbury Park Summer 2014. My mom and sister and I take our dog to the dog beach in Asbury a few times each week even though we live in Marlboro. This was the last time before my twin and I headed back to college. We stopped for pizza on the boardwalk and I snapped a farewell picture. My mom loved the way it's composed. I study art at college and like to take and share photos on my phone.

I take pictures from the passenger seat of cars I ride in. Here is what I saw one day.

We set our alarm clocks for 5 am, packed our headlamps and headed towards the Delaware River. There's a fire road that leads up to "The Knob," which falls off into steep rock faces, and overlooks New Jersey. We arrived about an hour before sunrise and ran(literally) across the ridge, trying to find the best spot to be before the sun started to peak through. We found a beautiful overlook, took some photos with our DSLRs, and continued to stroll back to the fire road. On a whim, we stopped at another part of the cliffs, I threw my legs over, and sat, as we experienced one of the most stunning sunrises I've ever witnessed. It was about 5 minutes of golden sunlight casting through the mist that came off the Delaware. I think we were literally screaming at points because we couldn't believe what we were witnessing. The sun eventually rose high enough and the sunrise turned to daylight.
As we packed up our things, we ran into two very large men who were just arriving at the ridge, covered in sweat, cameras in hand. Honestly, we didn't know what to tell them. It would have been cruel to show them our own photos of what they just missed. So we kept them to ourselves, and wished them luck.

I took this photo on my phone on January 10, 2014. The location is the Hudson River at about 14th Street looking toward New Jersey. Little did I know then that we'd be in for a whole lot more winter ice and gloom before the season was over!

While working and living in India, I've had the opportunity to travel around the country pretty extensively. This shot was taken on a cloudy day through a train window while I was traveling to Rajasthan this past Diwali. In spite of the grey day, the vibrant colors of India remain evident in the clothing of passengers heading home for the holidays.

My girlfriend and I were on our way back from a 3 day motorcycle camping trip, and after getting rained on the entire day before we were ecstatic to have nice weather. We stopped under this glider port on the way home to watch a few land.

This is Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, MA, near where my parents live. I took this photo around Thanksgiving, not expecting it to come out as well as it did. It is so hard to capture the look and feel of a sunset like this, especially with an iPhone. But I think this photo does a remarkably good job.
