I shot this photo from the Delta shuttle back from Chicago. As we made our approach into LaGuardia, I saw we were right above DeWitt Clinton High School, where I'd done some reporting last spring, and was hoping to get a picture. That didn't work out, but I managed to get this shot looking south toward Manhattan. I like the way the western avenues line up in the shot and the way it sort of inverts the general way I think about New York geography.

One of my favorite Catskill hikes is along the Scenic Upper Delaware River in the Town of Tusten in Sullivan County. 10 Mile River boat access onto the Delaware River. Owned by the Boy Scouts, the Tusten Trail has a great overlook of the Delaware River Valley. Enjoy!

This year, at 47, I learned to drive a carriage. This photo was taken on a weekend pleasure drive in Elkton, MD. I would like people to know that there is a whole world of carriage driving apart from the horses in Central Park. I live in NJ and drive my horse on the roads and trails about 3 times a week.

I was walking home from work and saw this graffiti had appeared on an already-graffiti-bombed abandoned building on my street (in Jersey City, NJ). I thought it was funny so I snapped this photo. Two weeks later, the building was demolished, and the lot is going to become home to luxury condos.
