This is the great George Coleman, playing at Smoke on the Upper West Side. My husband and I had to beg and malinger to get into the set, and ended up at a table that is so close to the stage that if I'd thrown my arm out, I could have thrown drummer Louis Hayes' rhythm off completely. But I did have an unobstructed view of Coleman, and it just seemed right to throw that black and white filter on there.

Wild In The Wood. My wife and I were living in Hoboken at the time and decided to take our son on a weekend trip to Wildwood, NJ. It was stormy all weekend but we managed to get some beach time in. I gave this photo to my wife as a Christmas present.

My husband and I took the kids to the park to ride their bikes. I love this photo because it encapsulates what I love most about my husband. He is an awesome stay-at-home dad, and this picture catches him "in action". It's what I like to call, "the new masculinity". Also- the reflection in the puddle was a happy accident!

"Strings Attached". To me this captured so much about young people in New York: the diversity and the things that connect us.

Caught this surprising shot of the SuperBowl about an hour before game time. I was on a commercial flight from Orlando to Newark. Although I'm not a football enthusiast, I was still in awe to capture a glimpse of this Iconic American event from such a spectacular vantage point.

I took this image early one Saturday morning at the Union Square Green Market.

The photo was taken during the Julyamsh Powwow in Post Falls, Idaho. It was one of the most spectacular events this Jersey girl has ever witnessed!

A picture of my little brother in the island of Leyte, Philippines. Taken in July 2014, months after superstorm Haiyan. This was the first time he soaked his feet in the Pacific waters. The picture depicts a little kid calming the waters after it ravaged the coast of Leyte in November 2013.

HI,
I TOOK THIS PHOTO WHILE ON A POWER WALK IN CENTRAL PARK. I LOVED THE CONTRAST BETWEEN THE BASEBALL DIAMOND AND THE SKYSCRAPERS AND THE GLOWERING FOGGY SKY.

I was staying with family near Kovalam Beach in Kerala (South India) in January. I kept thinking I needed to take a pic in the water, but I never wanted to be burdened with my phone. When I finally did, it was worth it.

I guess you're not "legally" permitted to go in the roof of my 6-floor walk up in Alphabet City. With views and sunsets like this, how could you not?
