I am more aware of my sleep patterns and while I don't always get the hours I need, I have realized how many I do need and am more conscious of trying to get them during the week.

:

That napping does affect my sleep. And that I do think I play "catch up" on the weekends.

:

I am trying to go to bed earlier and exercise more often. Also to nap less if I can help it--it would be better for me to just go to bed earlier.

I sleep less than I thought! I wake up often during the night and I was surprised to see the cumulative effect this has on my total sleep time.

:

I've tried to cut out TV/computer use before to reduce agitation/stimulation and deepen my sleep.

I lean red that my sleep is pretty efficient. I was hoping to learn more. I see in the email you sent that alcohol has an effect on my sleep. I only drink a glass of wine with dinner and I'm not sure that will have an effect. I'm surprised how little others sleep as well

:

No, but I would love to have some advice on doing so.

I learned that my girlfriend sleeps much more than I do. She is an early riser, and I tend to go to bed later, but the difference is in her favor. I also realized I sleep a pretty "normal" amount. I always thought I slept much more than other people.

:

It's been interesting and helpful,I suppose, just to be more aware my sleeping.

I sleep better than I think I do. So much of feeling reasted is mental. If I tell myself I slept well, I feel better about it.

:

I have tried ear plugs to protect me from ambient noises in my neighborhood. They have helped!

I am more aware of how long it takes me to fall asleep and have been thinking about why. I enjoy knowing how much sleep I've gotten and how caffeine is impacting my sleep patterns. I am slave to the bean!

:

I've learned that I get very little sleep and that days when I "exercised" I tended to fall asleep faster.

:

Yes. I work in the film industry where we have a minimum 12 hour work day, so getting very little sleep is a given, but I am happy to start transforming my sleep patterns within my circumstances. I have tried to stop drinking caffeine after 2:45 and have stopped putting my cellphone as close to my bed. I still get very little sleep, but knowing why or having some sense of my habits is comforting.
