Too soon to know. I would love to be able to tell you that my senior citizen insomnia diminishes.
If I don't get to sleep right away (within 15 minutes) I start to stress out about calculating how long it took me to fall asleep in order to track it accurately!
:
I generally get more sleep than I think I do.
:
I've tried to be more conscious about not drinking caffeine after lunchtime.
stress keeps me up. and while having a drink or two at dinner may make it easier to fall asleep, I tend to wake more often during the night. Also, catching up on my tv tivo programs right before bedtime is a mistake.
As the parent of young children, I think my sleep patterns are somewhat out of my control. The children wake early every morning. They awaken (though briefly) in the night and virtually all of my night waking a are dealing with that (helping someone settle, getting a glass of water, etc)
My awareness has shifted. I get a lot less sleep during the week than I'd imagined.
:
I get less sleep than I programmed for initially I sleep straight on weekends I don't really know how to rest I'd like to get more consistent sleep (and rest)
:
Kind of impossible as I have to get 2 teenagers out the door each day to different schools. I teach late afternoon and evening which loads me up ate day after having consumptive mornings. It's like being ON all the time.
Yes, I've tried to go to bed earlier but somehow old habits are difficult to change and I am consistently going to bed at the same time almost every night.
I have gotten better at falling asleep faster. I've learned what keeps me up (my thoughts and the music I listen to as I fall asleep). Now I have the music on a timer, and it shuts off after 15 minutes. I'm asleep so much faster! Non necessarily sleeping more, but sleeping better!
:
1. I realized how late I go to bed! However, unless I'm really exhausted, I find that I can't get myself to fall asleep any earlier -- even if I wake up very early the next day. So I've concluded I need to find a job that doesn't necessitate getting up at 6:30 am. :)
2. My sleep schedule is really bad. I have a schedule during the three days of my regular job. On the three days of my other job, when I have more flexibility, I sleep late, go to bed late, nap, etc.
3. Weekends mess me up! Way off schedule!
:
Yes. Tried going to bed earlier (doesn't always work), fall asleep faster (sometimes work) and get up later (ha! I wish!).
